News of the week 

The Government of the Russian Federation has approved a list of goods and packaging, waste from the use of which are subject to disposal.

The Ministry of Natural Resources explained that manufacturers or importers of goods are not required to ensure the disposal of waste from the use of goods used as raw materials, materials, spare parts, or components in the production of goods included in the list, and in the production of vehicles for which a disposal fee is paid.

Information about such goods must be indicated in the report on the mass of goods, packaging produced in the territory of the Russian Federation or imported from the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, including spoiled or defective goods, packaging, information on goods exported from the Russian Federation, packaging, reports on the mass of goods, packaging imported from third countries.

• Direction of the Bank of Russia No. 6748-U of June 13, 2024 on the procedure for filing an application to remove information from the suspicious transactions database - The Bank of Russia maintains a database of suspicious transactions, to which all banks are required to transmit identifiers of fraudulent transactions, including information about the recipient of the money. Credit institutions need this information to prevent new deposits of funds into criminal accounts. Individuals and companies can appeal the inclusion of their details in the database of fraudulent transactions.
• Federal Law No. 190-FZ of July 22, 2024 on amending Part Four of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation - It was decided to maintain a unified register of orphan works, that is, those whose protection period supposedly has not yet expired, but permission to use them is impossible to obtain because their author or other copyright holder is unknown.
